This year’s Shoptalk Europe really put the “AI” in Spain! Continuing the theme of the Shoptalk Vegas show, Shoptalk Europe’s biggest star was AI.
Lily AI had two opportunities to take the stage and share about our retail AI solution during the European leg of the show. Both focused on how AI brings humanity to shopping, and both were packed with retailers and brands excited to do just that.
On the same day that her RetailTouchPoints 40 Under 40 win was announced, Co-Founder and CTO Sowmiya Chocka Narayanan spoke on the Technology Solution Spotlight stage. She was joined by other executives from Microsoft, Deloitte Digital, Bambuser and Obsess. They discussed how AI helps consumers pin-point the products they want . . . while helping retailers drive revenue.
As an engineer by trade, and as someone who prioritizes empathy at the core of her mission, Sowmiya dug deep into Lily AI’s extensive taxonomy that truly reflects the customer, their desires, and their ways of thinking. She explained to attendees that through a suite of vertical AI built for retail, varied and evolving language of the consumer can be applied automatically to products.
The day prior, Lily AI President Ahmed Naiem presented a session on the TechTalk stage, showing exactly how Lily AI injects customer-centric product attributes across retailers’ entire ecosystems.
Even though his talk was focused on the technical, Ahmed started off by discussing a hot new microtrend and how different consumers from different countries label the same trend in different ways. He then dove into how Lily AI accounts for all these differences in customer-speak and more across the entire retail value chain, from Google Search to on-site search to product recommendations. Ahmed also discussed our partnerships with world-class retail and tech leaders like Shopify and Microsoft.
Just as Coresight Research said, employing AI to transform your business was the #1 takeaway at Shoptalk Europe. In fact, Arianne Parisi, Global Chief Digital Officer at JD Group, explained that “the customer should be at the heart of all decisions.”
